Tutorial Proposals Invited
The tutorials programme for SDEMPED 2027 is currently being developed. Experts and practitioners interested in delivering a tutorial are encouraged to submit a proposal. The proposal deadline will be announced in due course — please monitor this page and the Important Dates page for updates.
About
What Tutorials Cover
Tutorials at SDEMPED 2027 are half-day or full-day instructional sessions led by recognised experts. They provide a structured learning environment distinct from the main technical sessions, offering attendees the opportunity to develop or deepen knowledge in a specific area of electrical machine diagnostics, power electronics condition monitoring, or drive system reliability.
Tutorials typically cover topics such as:
- Practical implementation of condition monitoring methods for industrial machines and drives.
- Signal processing techniques for fault detection: from classical methods to machine learning.
- Modelling and simulation tools for diagnostic algorithm development.
- Reliability engineering and lifetime estimation for power electronics.
- Sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition for online monitoring.
- Case studies from industrial deployments and lessons learned.
This list is illustrative; tutorials on any topic relevant to the SDEMPED scope are welcome. Tutorials are open to all symposium registrants and provide an excellent way to complement the scientific programme with hands-on or conceptual instruction.
